–To bring you a little more news about Zoraida Grey.
First–the deal with Wild Rose is on and we are trying for an October release—if I can stop pestering Mary, my patient and saintly editor.
Next–earlier this year I promised everyone who follows this blog a chance for a free book of Zoraida Grey short stories in May. Now that I am a big-time author with Wild Rose and publishing a book with those same characters, I have a contractual obligation to offer any sequels or prequels to Wild Rose before I can publish anywhere else, including on my own. So I will send the anthology through Wild Rose and see if they want to take it on. Either way, I will get it out and offer it to my dear Sorchialites (you hardy souls who follow Sorchia’s Universe) as soon as possible.
Finally–keep an eye here and on Sorchia’s Universe on FB, Twitter, and Pinterest—along with Google + and LinkedIn and a few I’ve probably forgotten (See the links in the right column and at the bottom of the page if you want to connect with me at any of these places.) A bunch of stuff is going to happen between now and October—and beyond. I will be blogging my little heart out as a guest on several sites in the coming months. We’ll have a cover reveal—for real this time, a couple of contests, at least one Facebook party, and who knows what else.
And, of course, if you have not already got a copy of Just Like Gravity—you need to rectify this deficit at once. Go HERE to buy it.
As for the Zoraida Grey series—Book 1, Zoraida Grey and the Family Stones, will be out sometime this fall––I am hoping before Halloween. Book 2, Zoraida Grey and the Voodoo Queen, should follow in short order—December or January. Book 3, Zoraida Grey and the Pictish Stone, will finish the series sometime next spring. We are hoping to have about three months between books in the series so you won’t have to wait so long to see how things work out. In the midst of these three big books, I plan to have a couple of short story anthologies of Zoraida Grey stories and other tidbits. Then on to the next project which is already simmering in my head.
Next week, I’ll get back to blogging about Scotland, hauntings, Celtic legend, Voodoo, whisky, and other stuff like that.
In the meantime, here is the working blurb for Zoraida Grey and the Family Stones.
Granny’s dying, but Zoraida can save her with a magic crystal of smoky quartz.
Too bad the crystal is in Scotland.
In a haunted castle.
Guarded by mind-reading, psychopathic sorcerers.
Getting inside Castle Logan is easy. Getting out––not so much. Before she can snatch the stone, Zoraida stumbles into a family feud, uncovers a wicked ancient curse, and finds herself ensorcelled by not one but two handsome Scottish witches.
Up to their necks in family intrigue and smack-dab in the middle of a simmering clan war, Zoraida and her bff Zhu discover Granny hasn’t told them everything.
Not by a long shot.
