Summer!!
I live in the South, where days are hot and steamy, nights are filled with katydids, tree frogs, and lightning bugs, and abundance is just everywhere.
Speaking of abundance, does anyone need a zucchini? I have a few to spare—me and every other gardener in the country.
To make summer even more magical, I want to use the herbs I harvest from my little garden and learn about other herbs.
While I may not be a culinary master, I am certainly a curious and adventurous experimenter. I’ve decided to infuse a bit of spice—and magic—into my cooking with a Kitchen Witchery Challenge. The joy of experimenting with new herbs can be, well, magically delicious.
Now, ‘Challenge’ might sound a bit daunting, but rest assured, I’m not here to keep score. I’m simply providing you with the tools to enchant the hell out of your kitchen and meals. The more you delve into it, the more you’ll learn. But remember, the power is in your hands.
Still, if you want to dabble only and do a little here and there—Go You!
If you want to get serious, you can add a new herb every day of the month.
I admit that I fall into the former category, but I have decided to try at least four new herbs each week.
So what’s in this Challenge?
- A list of 31 herbs, their magical uses, their cooking uses, and links to suggested recipes. (Note: These links lead you to other sites with which I am not affiliated. You can use them or ignore them as you choose. I have visited each site, but I don’t manage them.)
- 31 affirmations to get those magical juices flowing.
- 5 gratitude rituals to add positive energy to your meals.
- A printable planner to help chart your progress.
- Access a Kitchen Witchery Facebook group to share our experiences.
What do you have to do:
Not much—just sign up for my quarterly newsletter, where I babble about my books, other urban fantasy and mystery books, and a little sustainable witchery. You can unsubscribe anytime you want, but I hope you’ll hang around, check out my blog, and join the conversations.
Here’s what you won’t find in the Kitchen Witchery Challenge or my newsletter: Constant Advertisements and pleas to buy ANYTHING. I believe in creating a comfortable and enjoyable reading experience for you.
Well—disclaimer—I do plan to publish one or more books this year. Newsletter subscribers get first shot—sometimes the only shot—at special sales and freebies. I will post info about those new releases and other writing news. And, of course, I hope you’ll take advantage of preorders and other sales.
If a Kitchen Witchery Challenge sounds fun, sign up below and let the Magic Flow!
What happens after you sign up? You should be directed to the Success page, where you can download the PDF containing all the Challenge info and the printable planner. You may also get a copy of the latest newsletter and you may receive a confirmation email.
If none of that happens or if anything else seems wonky, email me at Sorchia@sorchiadubois.com and let me know.
