The past few years have been—well, challenging is a good way to put it. Had some health issues and family stuff—all of which seem to be going in the right direction now. I’m trying to get myself back on the write track. The A-Z Challenge seems just the thing I need.
So everyday in April, I’ll be posting.
This year, I was planning to do some short stories or a serial story, but current events are keeping me up at night. Writing is therapy, and so I decided to share my ongoing nervous breakdown for this A-Z Challenge.
So my posts will be about how and why people of, ahem, a mature age, can and should participate in political activism. I’m calling the whole thing A Granny’s Guide to the Resistance.
I believe in democracy and the rule of law and am disturbed by what’s going on in the U.S. My goal is to give myself room to vent a bit, to provide real and practical ways we can all get busy protecting our democracy, and to (hopefully) stay sane and healthy through the next few years.
I seriously need to hear from others who can keep me hopeful.
Since I also write about magic, you’ll find some of that in my posts, too.
My topic is also about activism. I’m happy to not be alone. Let’s do this!
I’m a Granny (well Nanny to the grandkids) so this sounds interesting. Good luck.
Hi! Checking in from the A to Z Theme reveal blog hop. I am doing a political theme this year too. Looking forward to reading yours! Janet’s Smiles
A Granny’s Guide to Resistance! I love it. I look forward to your blog and working through things we can do make a difference. We have a lot in common. I am also a woman of certain but wonderful age, write SPEC, formerly scifi romance under a pen name, and just joined Sisters in Crime and have started writing my first paranormal mystery. See you on the blog hop.
I’m so glad to meet you, shariogarmise! Congrats on all that and may your paranormal mystery project be both therapy during these times and a rousing success in all ways. Thanks so much for commenting. I’ll look for you on the hop!
These are difficult times. I resist, write and, just for grins have ordered a small guillotine pin, bwahaha.
A guillotine pin is the perfect accessory! Writing is therapy, whether it’s something like this blog is going to be or the fantasy and mystery I usually write. Ya gotta step away from reality every now and then. Thanks–now I’m thinking about how I can add guillotines to my spring decorations 🙂
